Caulks and Sealants

Caulks, sealants and fillers are compounds that fill gaps and seal mating components to keep out contaminants and prevent leaks. Construction caulks and sealants fill small gaps, seams, and joints around bathroom fixtures, or window and door molding. They also improve energy efficiency and provide a finished look by sealing holes where cold air could escape. Gasket sealants and makers join two mating surfaces together, such as flanged components, to seal the bond and prevent leaks. Pipe sealants prevent leaks and loosening in pipe joints due to vibration, and seal out contaminants to prevent corrosion. Spray foam sealants expand to fill wide gaps, such as those found around door frames and pipe. Valve sealants protect valves from outside contaminants and prevent corrosion on internal components by filling in joints to seal out media flowing through the pipe.
